The next stage, after the initial block colours is to start planning the fancy diamond bits.
Diamonds, (and checks) are easier than people think - just take your time and try and plan in your head what the gonk will look like when the bits are filled in.
TGM TOP TIP: If you are planning to do a bit of fancy diamonds or checks then paint the lighter colour first. It is much easier to go over a light colour than putting several coats over a dark background. Also - experiment on scrap paper or card first!
