Finished at ther NEC now!

No more exhibitions with normal work this year!

Since last writing, having spent the week in the NEC or getting in work stupid early for colleagues so no real painting done :(

I have managed to fully complete 20 medium cavalry. The grass looks great and those spears are superb.

(The rest arrived during the week).

So. All being well I can knock another 20 medium cavalry out quite quickly. (Time is running out!!!!!)

Got the Spears!

Hey, them spears are sooo much better than the old lead ones. (Yes they're old enough to be real lead). Cheers Gripping Beast. (Mind you only 40 arrived with the rest to follow soon).

The grass stuff has arrived - it looks superb. So far have only stuck a bit to two bases but really need some tweezers.

There's light at the end of the tunnel regarding them horses...(I've nearly done all the tricky beasts leaving a handful of Cataphracts and the HQ.

That only leaves a million infantry and riders. (It's not that bad). Oh yeah, and the 6 elephants.

The Avatar keeps having little bits added so that'll be done soon as well. I'll post a picture once done.

TV Distraction

Well, FlashForward seems to be quite a good programme so once a week TV break won't hurt.

Finished another 4 horses though and sent Del a link to the Gripping Beast site to show him the possible banners he could have.

(Ordered his new improved spears from there today)

Sunday Sunday

Early start with the rugby today.

I've undercoated all the Persian riders for a bit of chainail action later. (Had to do this in two sessions: front and back and have now got a nose full of black spray paint.

Finished, (matt varnished and three coloured sand) - apart from the grass - which I missed yesterday and the final touch-ups; more than half the heavy cavalry and extra heavy cavalry.

The HQ horses also undercoated.

Have asked Del if it's OK to buy new betterer spears...

Dolls House Show

Went to a dolls house show today with the wife, it turned out to be well interesting!

I picked up some slate offcuts, a skull and some plant making stuff. (Also some top stamps for fimo/DAS/porcelain).

Nice.

I've undercoated the 5 x Gobbos and wolves and the Persian HQ.

Missed the postie with my new grass stuff.

Friday weirdnes

Was home most of the day as my eldest son sent home due a toxic cloud made by a huge fire.

I still couldn't use the time to paint :( as I had to log into work.

Still have brushed up all the medium cavalry, (Persians), as they were looking a bit dull and have stuck sand onto a chunk of spearmen and the new HQ horses.

The bikers have been given the thumbs up which is cool.

I've glued and added base sand/rock to five goblin wolves. I reckon I'll send these out to make sure they're acceptable before continuing with the hordes...

Horses reign(sic)

Received the Persian Hordes' c in c today. (well sub general and standard bearer as well).

Have based more gee gees and painted loads of reins and have scraped and washed the new c in c crew.

I reckon I will publish a preview at the weekend to whet Del's appetite...

Also popped into see Steve at The Games Vault and have also confirmed that the bikers I finished last week have arrive but they are waiting to be opened by the owner...(I hope he likes them).
